Getting Around The Local Area By Bike

Depending on how confident and fit a cyclist you are, there are a range of destinations that can be accessed by bike from Bracebridge Manor.

Lincoln city centre can be accessed in just over 15 minutes by bike; where a range of shops, restaurants and other facilities can be accessed. You can get to Lincoln train station in less time, which when considering traffic and the time it takes to park is probably quicker than a journey by car, so why not cycle as part of your commute or wider journey?

Many of the local roads are rural in nature, and whilst the main routes towards the city can be busy, there are some great quieter scenic routes that can make a ride a little more leisurely. From Lincoln centre you can access both Route 1 and Route 64 of the National Cycle Network.

Route 1 is a fantastic route, passing some of the UK’s most stunning scenery, running in sections from Dover up to the Highlands of Scotland. Locally, it runs along the River Witham and connects Lincoln with Market Rasen, Boston and more!

Route 64 connects Melton Mowbray with Lincoln, via Newark and it mainly off-road in the vicinity of Lincoln.
